The Nordic-Baltic Remote Work conference was held in Põlva County, Estonia on May 13th, organized by Interreg Europe’s Policy Learning Platform. Various REMAKING project’s members participated in the event.

The conference brought together participants from Startup Estonia’s regional development team, members of the Kupland remote work network, and human resources professionals from several national ministries.

Luca Alfieri, from Politecnico di Milano, was there as an expert and as a moderator of one of the conference’s panels.

On the other hand, Dimitris Manoukas, also, from Politecnico di Milano participated in the conference as part of the Interreg Europe Policy Learning Platform’s peer review follow-up event.

In the conference, Manoukas presented findings from the REMAKING project, offering a comparative overview of remote working policies across Europe.

He sought to share their research findings while also engaging local stakeholders in Estonia, highlighting how remote work can drive peripheral development through improved policies, enhanced digital infrastructure, and tailored, place-specific innovation.

Interreg Europe objectives are to improve regional development policies through the identification and transfer of good practices among EU regions.
