The consortium meeting in Chania continues

14 May 2025 By

The second day of the REMAKING consortium meeting in the Greek city of Chania continued the positive atmosphere of the first day.

Case studies took the spotlight at the start of the second day of the meeting. For a large part of the day, project members focused on the case studies and analysed how they interlink with the REMAKING work packages.  The project currently has four case studies that provide the project with first-hand knowledge of the impacts of remote work on society.

Federica Rossi from Politecnico di Milano has had the occasion to present to the project members gathered at the session the work that her organisation has carried out on the policy briefs.

One of the great novelties of this day has been the participation of local policy makers in a roundtable facilitated by Efstratios Flemetakis, President of the Regional Development Agency of Crete S.A. The round table was attended by Maria Petrantonaki (Digital Nomads Group, Region of Crete), Androniki Kalfa (WorkFromGreece) and Alex Karapidaki & Konstantinos Vassakis (Bizrupt Incubator).

Ignasi Capdevila from Paris School of Business has submitted a proposal for a fifth case study, about affiliated knowledge-intensive workers, which would join those already underway in the project.

This second day has had an spot for the communication and dissemination results and next steps. Manex Urruzola, Elhuyar, has submitted data on all aspects of the communication and dissemination of the project.

With only one more day to go, the consortium meeting is fulfilling the expectations of those in attendance, and has set the stage for tomorrow’s closure.
