The REMAKING project deals with transformations in the industrial and production realms enabled by longstanding megatrends such as digitalization and flexibilization processes and further triggered by recent shocks. Remote Working can be more than a flexible working arrangement as it has the potential to become a lever for shaping ongoing social, economic, and spatial structural changes in our regions.
REMAKING aims to deliver a policy- oriented framework addressing socio-economic and spatial inequalities of this phenomenon in urban and rural areas.
Participatory research activities will be conducted across four case studies: digital nomadism, post-pandemic scenarios, highly skilled workers in high-tech sectors, and enforced remote workers in 14 urban-rural areas in 7 countries.
