The REMAKING project has concluded the second day of its consortium meeting in Dublin today, bringing partners back together at Trinity Business School, Trinity College Dublin, for a final day focused on future activities, policy work and the next steps of the project. After a first day dedicated to research integration, results and dissemination, today’s sessions placed special emphasis on planning, policy transfer and the practical impact of REMAKING’s work.

The morning began with a discussion on the preparation of the project’s next phase, focusing on objectives, coordination and upcoming deliverables. Aleksandra Morozovaitė, from Visionary Analytics, presented the main objectives of the policy toolbox, outlining its role as one of the project’s key future outputs. This was followed by a presentation on the Bologna Municipality Pilot, coordinated by Ivana Ribanska and with the participation of Mario Casadio, representative of the Municipality of Bologna. The session opened a discussion on transferability and on how local experiences can contribute to broader reflections about remote work, territories and policy action.

Later in the morning, partners worked on the Second Policy Brief, discussing its structure, key messages and task allocation. Coordinated by Ilaria Mariotti, this session involved all partners and helped align the consortium around one of the project’s key communication and policy outputs. The day also included a general research and activity plan recap, led by Marco R. Di Tommaso and Patrizia Leone, with a focus on next steps and deadlines.

The meeting concluded with a policy roundtable involving REMAKING partners, advisory board members and local and international policymakers. The roundtable included framing presentations, a moderated discussion, a Q&A session and policy takeaways, creating a valuable space to connect the project’s research with real policy needs and territorial challenges.

The Dublin consortium meeting closed in a very positive and collaborative atmosphere, reinforcing the strong commitment of all partners to the next steps of REMAKING. Over the two days, the consortium strengthened its shared vision, advanced key project outputs and confirmed the value of working together to better understand and communicate the transformations linked to remote and hybrid work in Europe.
