REMAKING research on stress and remote work presented at HERF 2026 in Paris
From 1 to 3 October 2026, the Paris School of Business hosted the Health in Entrepreneurship Research Forum (HERF 2026), an international research conference bringing together scholars working at the intersection of health, wellbeing, entrepreneurship and management.
REMAKING participated in HERF 2026 both through its research and as a sponsor of the event, supporting the organisation of the international forum at Paris School of Business.
During the conference, Ignasi Capdevila, from Paris School of Business, presented research developed within the Horizon Europe REMAKING project. His paper, “Reconfiguring Stress in Remote Work: Self-Regulation, Cognitive Strain, and Conditional Wellbeing,” examines how remote and hybrid work reconfigure workers’ experiences of stress.
The study focuses particularly on self-regulation, cognitive strain and wellbeing, exploring the conditions under which remote working arrangements can improve workers’ wellbeing and those in which they may instead generate additional pressures and challenges.
The contribution reflects one of REMAKING’s key research areas: understanding the multiple impacts of remote and hybrid work not only on territories and organisations, but also on individual workers, their working conditions and their quality of life.
In addition to Ignasi Capdevila’s scientific contribution, REMAKING participated as a sponsor of HERF 2026, reinforcing the project’s involvement in international academic exchanges on health, wellbeing and the future of work.
