REMAKING at the Wellbeing Happiness Forum 2026 in Milan
On 22 October 2026, the REMAKING project was represented at the Wellbeing Happiness Forum 2026, held at the Centro Congressi Stella Polare, Fiera Milano Rho, through the participation of Ilaria Mariotti, Associate Professor at Politecnico di Milano and REMAKING researcher.
The event, organised by Ecosistema Formazione Italia (EFI), brought together researchers, professionals and representatives from public and private organisations to discuss workplace well-being, organisational innovation and the future of work.
Ilaria Mariotti moderated the session “Trasformazione del lavoro, organizzazione e valore pubblico” (Transformation of Work, Organisation and Public Value), featuring Marco Carlomagno, Secretary General of FLP – Federazione Lavoratori Pubblici e Funzioni Pubbliche, and Carlo Mochi Sismondi, President of FPA – Forum PA.
Drawing on the research conducted within the European REMAKING project, the discussion explored how transformations in remote and hybrid working are affecting individuals, organisations and territories, with particular attention to public administration.
The session addressed organisational models that promote employee well-being and public value, highlighting the importance of leadership, internal communication, transparent performance evaluation and a sense of purpose in attracting and retaining public sector employees.
Participants also reflected on the evolving role of public sector managers and the need to adapt management practices and professional training to the changing world of work.
REMAKING’s participation in the forum contributed to connecting the project’s research findings with broader discussions on organisational transformation, reinforcing the importance of developing working models that support employee well-being, effective public services and sustainable organisational practices.
